Professor Dr. med. Ulrich Mrowietz

Dr. Mrowietz is the Editor-in-Chief of the Archives of Dermatological Research, and a member of the Executive Board of the German Dermatological Association, as well as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Psoriasis Association. He is also a member of numerous national and international dermatological societies.
Prof. Mrowietz’ main scientific and clinical interests are psoriasis and psoriasis therapy, wound healing and pathological scarring. He has 118 published articles referenced in the Medline data base, and has written numerous chapters in textbooks incl. “Fitzpatrick’s Dermatology in General Medicine” and Braun-Falco’s “Dermatologie und Venerologie”. Furthermore, Dr. Mrowietz has written four books in German about psoriasis (for patients and physicians), immunosuppressive therapy and cyclosporin in dermatology.
Prof. Mrowietz has been awarded the Oscar-Gans-Förderpreis in 1993 and the “Preis für den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs der norddeutschen Hautkliniken“ in 1994.
Dr. Mrowietz has participated in numerous clinical psoriasis trials over the last 15 years, also as principal investigator in several clinical trials in Germany and internationally, notably the German phase III psoriasis trial of BG-12.
